What you'll find here
Three things, and nothing else: what officially changed, what it means in practice for a typical buyer or homeowner, and a link to the original government or Bank of England source so you can check it yourself. No speculation dressed up as news, and no rewriting a headline just to make it sound more dramatic than it is.
How this page gets updated
We run an automatic check twice a week for anything stamp-duty or mortgage related, plus same-day checks around known events — Budget statements and Bank of England rate decisions. If a check finds something that's actually changed, a plain-English update gets posted here. If nothing's changed, nothing gets posted — we don't manufacture news to fill this page.
